On Tuesday 19th November, we held an evening of fun and fizz as we fundraised for the UK children’s charity, Barnardo’s.
Managing Director, Nick Carter, hosted the specialist auction, which had been curated by his daughter, Phoebe Carter. The catalogue included a signed Williams F1 framed photo, a fitness clinic with Olympic champion Adam Peaty and Cheltenham Festival tickets which had all been graciously donated.
In addition to the auction, there was a raffle with some fabulous prizes on offer. The event raised over £3000.00 and all proceeds were donated to the charity.
A huge thank you to everyone that donated prizes, the bidders, the raffle ticket buyers, the wonderful staff at Lots Road who worked late and especially to Phoebe.
Since its founding in 1866 by Dr Thomas Barnardo, the charity has been making young people feel safer, happier, healthier, and more hopeful. Among their many noble pursuits, Barnardo’s helps children find foster care, supports them through homelessness and poverty, keeps kids safe from harm and abuse, and provides training for young job seekers. Making sure their families are supported is equally important to the charity, and they offer adoption, mental health, and SEND support services as well.
We were delighted to help them with their mission to ensure every child has the best possible start in life, regardless of background.
